Design Of The Month

The design is very simple which is what they asked for, but we were able to supply a walk-in bath as requested with a door part way down the bath. This is quite unusual as more often than not the door is at one end or the other. In their case if the door had been on the end away from the shower we would have had to move the basin otherwise it door would have been inaccessible and they ideally didn’t want to do this. If it had been at the shower end it would have been awkward to get a shower screen to work effectively. So, we were able to source this product where other companies failed.
The design benefits from a digital shower. Their existing shower is a pumped shower with the pump on the wall next to the shower. This was effective bit noisy. With their digital shower the pressure and temperature are set via a processor and pump in the attic, with just a single feed pipe down to the shower. The shower comes with a drencher shower and hand held device and the shower control can be easily located on the centre of the back wall of the bath meaning they can turn the shower on before stepping in and not have to move the shower screen to do so. The digital shower can detect small interruptions in pressure and will adjust itself up to 100 times per minute to ensure the user gets a perfect showering experience.
The chinaware in the room is Roca, from the Nexo range; the toilet is flush to the wall meaning no ugly pipes and no boxing of pipework needed and the wall mounted semi pedestal basin from the Nexo range is equally tidy. The horizontal heated towel rail provides for two towels to be hung side by side. The tiles are Habitat Crema Beige 600x200, so nice and big and easy to clean and contrast well with the Karndean Bath Stone flooring.
